Our story
I founded KK&S Designs in 2013 while supporting my daughter as she launched her first business. Creating that
first custom piece revealed how deeply visual clarity affects credibility, confidence, and connection — and how
much a business's signage, gifts, and event details communicate before a single word is spoken. What started
with one custom piece has grown into a studio serving hundreds of clients across the country — from solo
founders and wedding couples to conference organizers and corporate teams — with custom event signage, on-
site engraving experiences, and corporate gifting throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia.

Meet the Founder
Tracey Fowlkes is the founder of KK&S Designs and KK&S Academy. She holds a B.A. in Speech Communication from Morgan State University and a Master's in Management with a concentration in Human
Resources from University of Maryland Global Campus, along with graduate-level coursework toward a doctorate in Postsecondary Education.
With 15+ years of teaching experience — including her current role as an Adjunct Instructor at Graduate School USA — she brings that same background in communication, HR, and education to every client relationship, helping people and businesses find clarity in how they show up, visually and verbally.
